What can you do to save damaged hair? And is there any salvation for such extremely damaged hair?
Of course, there is a rescue for badly damaged hair. However, you need to know that when your hair is in really bad condition, there is no such thing as instant regeneration. Restoring damaged hair and restoring its healthy appearance will require regularity, time and patience. However, if you approach the subject with caution and take it really seriously, after a few weeks you will start to notice the first effects of the actions taken, which will definitely motivate you to continue fighting for a healthy and beautiful appearance of your hair.
Visit to the hairdresser
First, information that may not be pleasant for you – the most damaged part of your hair needs to be cut. Unfortunately, you cannot avoid it and even if you start hair regeneration without cutting it, the most damaged parts will crumble themselves sooner or later. Therefore, at the very beginning of the fight with damaged hair, visit a hairdressing salon. You can cut your hair over the entire damaged area right away, and if you are very concerned about changing the length, cut your hair a few centimeters and make another appointment a month later.

Try to stop using SLS and SLES shampoos for a while, replace them with milder washing substances, such as Coco Glucoside, Decyl Glucoside, Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate and Lauryl Glucoside.
Forget about high temperatures
Washing your hair in very warm water, drying it with hot air from a dryer, the aforementioned straightening and hot styling, e.g. with a curling iron – your hair does not like it. And even if you use cosmetics that are supposed to protect them against the effects of high temperature, you still destroy them. Therefore, give up the dryer and let your hair dry naturally.
If you don’t always have the opportunity to do it, blow-dry your hair with cooler air and do it in batches, letting it dry naturally in the meantime, and use heat protection products. Wash your hair with lukewarm water, not with hot water, and if you care about curls – use, for example, curlers instead of a curling iron.
Applying conditioners and masks to hair is the basis that many of us still give up. If you have damaged hair, care must be based on these products. Explaining yourself with the lack of time or the fact that the conditioner weighs down the hair is in fact a manifestation of laziness and neglect, which leads to the fact that the hair begins to look worse and worse.
If you want to save damaged hair, intensive nutrition will be absolutely essential. And until the hair begins to regain its healthy appearance, an intense and nutrient-rich mask or conditioner should land on your hair even several times a week and stay on it for a minimum of minutes. 30 minutes.
Make changes to your diet
As I wrote in previous posts, the appearance of our hair is influenced not only by the way we care for it, but also by the way we nourish it. If damaged hair is your problem, care should go hand in hand with nourishment from the inside out. Include foods rich in protein, vitamins and minerals in your diet. Eat plenty of green vegetables, fatty fish, whole grain breads, almonds, nuts, and pumpkin seeds.
